Acer palmatum 'Dormansland' has strong, copper-coloured spring growth, the leaves of which are deeply divided and heavy in texture. The deep green summer colour with red undertones turns an intense scarlet in the autumn - earlier than most - and very reliable. It has wide spreading growth but cannot be described as a large plant. |
