Acer palmatum Little Princess  
Acer palmatum 'Little Princess' is an extremely pretty , dwarf Japanese maple. It has small, red-edged bright green leaves which turn varying shades of red in the autumn. It will only reach around 1. 5 metres in height and so makes an excellent plant for a pot on a patio or terrace.
    Position? full sun to part shade; sheltered site preferred out of strong winds
    Soil? all soils, but avoid waterlogged areas; very dry soils will need extra watering
    Eventual size? up to 1.5 metres, but can be pruned
    Habit? deciduous; compact, upright growth
