Acer palmatum Osakazuki  
Acer palmatum 'Osakazuki' is a very well known cultivar and in our opinion, cannot be beaten for autumn colour which seemingly becomes more fluorescent and luminous with each day that passes throughout the autumn. Our particular clone has intense scarlet-orange colouring. A stately maple suitable for most gardens.
    Position? full sun to part shade; sheltered site preferred out of strong winds
    Soil? all soils, but avoid waterlogged areas; very dry soils will need extra watering
    Eventual size? up to 4 metres, but can be pruned
    Habit? deciduous with amazing scarlet autumn colouring; open habit
