Acer palmatum 'Trompenburg' is a fast growing and very reliable purple-leaved Acer. Left to its own devices, it will keep an open, vase-like shape. Almost immediately recognised by the fact that the leaves roll under at the edges giving a claw-like appearance. In the autumn, the tree looks like it has been covered in a glowing red carpet of leaves. |
