Acer palmatum dissectum Filigree  
Acer palmatum dissectum 'Filigree' is one of the best green dissectums which holds its light-green colour well throughout most of the season, soon turning to a mass of yellows for the autumn. This makes an excellent conatiner plant and is best sited in semi-shade to avoid scorch from the intense mid-summer sun. A mature plant has a very striking domed look. Suitable for the smaller garden and works well next to ponds and on rockeries where you can admire the tumbling foliage.
    Position? part shade to full shade; sheltered site preferred out of strong winds
    Soil? all soils, but avoid waterlogged areas; very dry soils will need extra watering
    Eventual size? up to 1.5 metres, but can be pruned
    Habit? deciduous; weeping, spreading habit
