Acer palmatum dissectum 'Seiryu' is an unusual Japanese maple for the fact that it is the only upright growing dissectum (the others normally having weeping and cascading growth). In the spring, the leaves appears as a fresh, bright green with tinges of red at their margins. By autumn, the foliage is suffused with golden yellow and splashes of red - a very attractive maple. Reasonably fast growing, with an eventual height of around 2 to 3 metres. |
