Brahea armata, the Mexican Blue Palm originates from Mexico (surprise, surprise!) and is a beautiful, slow growing palm with large blue-grey leaves. It can withstand heavy frosts once established but is best planted in full sun and very well-drained soil. When young, it will benefit from spending the winter in a conservatory or sun room and enjoying the sunshine outside in the spring and summer. |
