Dasylirion serratifolium  
Dasylirion serratifolium is amongst one of the most dramatic and architectural plants. Thin strap-like leaves are covered with tiny spines along both sides, with the mature plant reaching a round 1.5 metres in height and spread. Suitable for a very hot, dry location where it will make a fantastic specimen. Suitable for the milder parts of the UK.
    Position? full sun; tolerant of windy and coastal positions
    Soil? all free-draining soils
    Eventual size? up to 1.5 metres
    Habit? stocky evergreen bush, stunning architectural shape
