Plants that can cope with drought, windy or coastal conditions. Drought tolerant plants generally have narrow, strap-like, spiky or silver leaves. In general most drought resitant plants will also tolerate coastal or exposed windy gardens making them suitable for container cultivation and ideal for balcony and rooftop planting. They are by the most part evergreen, architectural and structural plants adding a different dimension to the garden and providing form throughout the year. This section of the website highlights some of our favourite drought tolerant plants. All of these plants make fantastic statements and are suitable for most gardens - just err towards the sunnier parts and avoid any areas prone to waterlogging. If you feel you need any further advice, please contact any of our helpful members of staff at the nursery.
