Eucalyptus niphophila, the Alpine Snow Gum is one of the hardiest Eucalyptus. It has the traditional sickle-shaped Eucalyptus leaves and striking snakeskin-like bark which is one of its most attractive characteristics. It will happily grow in almost all soils and situations, but thrives in full sun and free-draining soil. It is a particularly good species for growing in coastal areas, showing excellent resistance to salt laden winds. |
