Eucalyptus perriniana, the Spinning Gum has very attractive circular juvenile foliage. This eucalptus gets its common name from the fact that when the leaves die, they tend to remain on the stems (severed from the main stem) and will spin round as the wind blows, hence the name 'spinning gum'. The mature foliage of the tree is the traditional sickle shaped leaf. This tree can be easily coppiced each year to ensure masses of circular leaves and a manageable sized plant. Makes an upright fairly narrow tree making it suitable in smaller spaces. Hardy and easy to grow.
