EUCALYPTUS NITENS
Eucalyptus nitens is one of the fastest growing Eucalyptus we grow. Eucalyptus nitens has large oval to sickle shaped leaves which when crushed have a wonderful aroma. Nitens is a particularly jungly Eucalptus with it's plentiful large leaves and vigourous habit. As it matures it make an impressive tall upright tree. If space is limited like many Eucalyptus it can be prunned hard every few years. It will happily grow in almost all soils and situations, but thrives in full sun.
Position? full sun to part-shade; tolerant of exposed sites
Soil? all soils, but avoid waterlogged areas; very dry soils will need extra watering
Eventual size? up to 10 metres, but can be pruned
Habit? fast growing, evergreen tree with an open, upright habit
