New, rare & clump-forming

Fargesia murieliae 'Vampire' is a fairly new form of the fountain bamboo, in which the new canes can blush red in the heat of late summer. Site in any good garden soil in semi-shade, where this clump-forming bamboo will look wonderful. Also suitable for a container, as long as it is kept well watered. Not necessary to live in Transylvania.
Eventual height:
 3 to 4 metres
Preferred position:
 shade to part sun
Habit:
 bushy, frothy foliage and clump-forming
