Rare, beautiful & clump-forming

Fargesia scabrida is a fantastic, recently introduced bamboo with rusty-orange culm sheaths and bright green stems. It is an excellent bamboo for a pot, rarely reaching any more than 3.5 metres in height. Happy in most soils and situations, but preferably not a dry, sun-baked spot. Tolerant of shade and a very reliable clump former. Keep well watered until established in the ground; if growing in a pot, then just keep well watered!
