'Castillonis'

Phyllostachys bambusoides 'Castillonis' is ideal if you are after a big gold bamboo with green stripes, then this one has got to be in contention. It soon produces huge new culms and grows incredibly well in rich, fertile soil and a bright position. It is not recommended for the small garden unless you are quite mad - it can reach a height of 6 metres when it's happy. Plant it, stand back and watch it grow in awe!
