Phyllostachys flexuosa Phyllostachys flexuosa
 

Phyllostachys flexuosa is an unusual bamboo with zigzagging stems on mature plants (hence flexuosa). The dark green to olive green stems can reach up to four metres in height an tend to have an arching habit. The foliage is light and airy and gives the bamboo a dainty appearance. It should be kept well watered until established and well fed to ensure strong growth.
