Trachelospermum jasminoides, Evergreen Jasmine is simply the best evergreen climber you can own. Masses of dark green leaves are held upon twining stems which in mid summer are followed by loads of tiny jasmine-like flowers that smell divine. Once the frost has been, the leaves take on fabulous autumn colour from reds through to purple. For best results, site on a sunny wall out of strong, cold winds.
    Position? full sun to half shade; out of cold, drying winds - especially coastal winds
    Soil? all soils, but avoid waterlogged areas; very dry soils will need extra watering
    Eventual size? up to 5 metres, but can be pruned
    Habit? evergreen climber with fragrant white flowers, needs wires or trellis for support
