Description

Holboellia latifolia smells goooood! This evergreen climber will win your heart with the most amazing fragrance coming from the small greeny-pink flowers which will cover the plant in abundance once established. Quick to establish and relatively fast growing. You may also be rewarded with some rather interesting sausage-shaped purple fruits which follow the wonderful flowers. So greenery, flowers, fragrance and possibly sausages – what more could you want from a climber?  Requires free draining soil in a sunny position for best results.

 

 

  • Position:Full sun to part shade out of cold, drying winds - especially coastal winds.
  • Soil:All soils, but avoid waterlogged areas very dry soils will need extra watering.
  • Eventual Size:Up to 5 metres, but can be pruned.
  • Habit:Climbing.
  • Foliage:Evergreen.
