I have recently purchased this shrub for my new garden it is one of my long time winter favourites for its fabulous spicy scent and welcome colour throughout the winter months. Its also a very good host for either an early or late flowering clematis giving you more floral interest in spring or summer and as wintersweet is deciduous I also add spring bulbs around its skirts making a perfect shrub for your garden
