Cryptomeria japonica 'Jindai'
With its dark and light green, congested foliage, Jindai is densely branched with a compact, irregular, conical form, reaching up to 2-3 metres in 10 years or prune to desired height. Its dense branches give it a soft, 'tufty' appearance. Grows best in full sun in fertile, free draining soil. Shelter from cold winds. can be grown in a container or direct in the ground, 'Jindai' is also often selected for Bonsai.

Plant with ericaceous compost in any soil except waterlogged in a sheltered spot away from cold winds. Prefers full sun to part shade. Prune to reduce height if required and to encourage a bushier habit.
