Superb attractive shrub that will brighten the dullest winter day with its beautiful fragrance from pretty little trumpet shaped pink flowers. The evergreen leaves are edged irregularly in gold and are ovate and glossy. Flowers mid winter to early spring, slow growing, 1.5 m after 10 years. Hardy, found on low mountainsides of China. Tolerate of most fertile, well drained soils. Shelter from cold, drying winds. Plant by the gate, path or washing line where you will appreciate the wonderful jasmine-like scent.
