An attractive, evergreen shrub from New Zealand with lance shaped, narrow willow like deep greenleaves and prolific spikes of  white flowers in summer and autumn which are loved by insects. Can be clipped into a perfect ball or smooth mounded shape if desired, this is a tough, versatile and useful shrub which can be used on its own to give form and shape or as an excellent evergreen hedge.  Grows in sun/part shade in most fertile, free draining soils but needs protection from cold, northerly winds.  Height up to 2m, spread 2 m.  Good for coastal gardens.
