Nandina 'Woods Dwarf'

Nandina 'Woods Dwarf' is a beautiful compact form of Nandina domestica, often known as Heavenly Bamboo. 'Woods Dwarf' rarely grows more than 120cm in height and has a dense, leafy habit.

Perhaps its strongest feature is that the broard (for a Nandina), leaves are from midsummer through to late spring, tinged with deep pink, maroon and deep red tones.

Altyhough Nandina are often called Heavenly Bamboo, that are more closely related to Berberis and have no botaical links to Bamboo. Nandina do however associate wonderfully with Bamboo either in a traditional, contemporary or oriental garden.

Very hardy and tolerant of most soils. Nandina tend to colour best in a sunny position .
