Carlesii Viburnum 'Aurora' 'in Dutch "snowball," is a medium-sized semi-evergreen shrub with round upright form. Aurora blooms in April and May generously with strongly scented pink flowers that open from red buds. The efflorescence is sometimes pinkish. The leaves are broadly ovate and toothed. The leaves are dark green in summer, bronze in spring and red-purple in the fall, the underside of the leaves are velvety. Viburnum loves a pitch in full sun or partial shade and a slightly acidic to neutral soil. The plant is (sea) wind tolerant and tolerates air pollution.
