Description

Acer palmatum ‘Pixie’ is a dwarf cultivar, with seven lobed, burgandy leaves. Grows into a lovely, leafy mound and takes on wonderful bright tones in full sun. Very happy in a pot and also suitable for the bonsai enthusiast, this is one acer that takes up very little room but looks so stunning. Leaves turn scarlet red in autumn. Will grow no more than 1.5m high, grows happily in sun/part shade.

  • Position:Full sun/part shade.
  • Soil:Fertile, well drained.
  • Eventual Size:1. 5 metres after 15 years.
  • Habit:Upright, dense, bushy.
  • Foliage:Burgandy, red palmate leaves.
