Description

This is an upright, dense, fastigate male variety which can eventually reach 10m high. It will make a great specimen tree for the garden and because of its regular narrow habit, they also look good planted along side each other. Has the classic ginkgo shape to its leaves in bright green and turns a striking butter yellow in the autumn.

Hardy, deciduous, good in all soils except waterlogged and in most positions out of cold, drying winds.

  • Position:Full sun/part shade.
  • Soil:Any except waterlogged.
  • Eventual Size:10 metres after 20 years.
  • Habit:Upright, fastigate.
  • Foliage:Bright green, yellow in autumn.

  1. Big Plant Customer

Ordered the Princeton Sentry and Troll lunch time Wednesday, they arrived am the next day! Both have decent root balls so have potted on into a slightly bigger pots. Look great now they in leaf.

  2. Incognito

I’ve been wanting a ginkgo ever since I started gardening, and Princeton Sentry is well worth the wait. a lovely, healthy ginkgo with beautiful golden yellow autumn colour, and large unusually shaped leaves. Arrived well packaged and healthy . At the moment because he is still quite small his leaves do look disproportionately large, but I’m sure he’ll grown into them. Overall a very nice plant with plenty of potential within any garden circumstance. Come sleet, snow rain or shine, this is a true gem of the garden.
