Description
Rhaphiolepis × delacourii ‘Coates’ Crimson’ is a rarely seen hardy evergreen shrub that offers so much, being evergreen, not too big making a rounded specimen to perhaps 150cm with deep green evergreen oval leaves which are flushed an attractive orangey bronze when young. In late spring to early summer sprays of deep pink tinged with crimson star shaped flowers are produced on mass. A lovely shrub tolerant of a wide range of conditions but performs best in a sunny spot. Also given its compact bushy habit ideal in a large planter. Can be pruned to shape after flowering.
