Description
Agave americana ‘Mediopicta Alba’ is immediately recognisable due to the longitudinal white stripes down the centre of each leaf, the remained being a bluey grey colour. Forms an architectral specimen up to 1 metre high and wide and can easily be grown in a container. Suited to hot sunny conditions, even coastal locations in free draining compost.
It is possible to overwinter Agave americana ‘Mediopicta Alba’ outdoors provided it is kept as dry as possible and given protection from severe frosts. Otherwise bring into a cool conservatory or glasshouse where it will remain dormant until the day lengh increase not requiring watering from November until March.
