Description

Eriobotrya japonica often known as the ‘Loquat’ is a wonderfully exotic looking evergreen large shrub or small tree with bold oval large, dark green leaves. On first appearance it can look like a rare rhododendron but thankfully for us is very hardy and tolerant of a wide range of soils. Very architectural and suitable for adding structure to the garden whilst creating year round interest. If you are lucky and the winter is mild sweetly scented flowers are produced during late November followed by delicous apricot like fruits.
