Description
A wonderfully elegant ornamental grass with arching green foliage. The leaves have a distinctive white central vein.
During late summer – early aurumn beuatifully tactile creamy-white flowers form which hang down like silky tassels. Flowers remain on the grass through autumn and winter maintaining interest and looking fabulous with a coating of frost! As foliage and flowers dies off, they may be cut back during early spring making way for the new growth to commence during March/April. This is a clump forming grass and will reach around 1.5m in height and width so it’s ideal for a central spot in a mixed border.
Allow a sunny and free draining position and apply a good amount of organic matter when planting. Miscanthus sinensis ‘Graciliimus’ will look amazing planted with other ornamental grasses and herbaceous plants such as Verbena, Crocosmia and Salvia. Planting en masse will also create an extraordinary effect.
