Description

Acer palmatum ‘Shishigashira’ is a stunning variety, well known to bonsai enthusiasts owing to the slow, compact growth and small leaves, hence the name meaning ‘Lion’s Mane’. The dark green foliage does not scorch easily in strong sunlight and the autumn colour is a fabulous array of bright golden yellows infused with deep purple.  An excellent maple for container cultivation.
