Description
Tradescantia sillamontana, otherwise known as ‘White Velvet’ owing to the gorgeous, tactile leaves which are covered with silky white hairs. Reaching up to 30cm in height, forming a dense and trailing mound, stunning deep pink, 3-petalled flowers appear during the summer months looking highly exotic. Can be planted or placed outside in the warmer months generally requires some winter protection tolerating temperatures close to freezing. Probably best grown in a in container in colder areas or if you prefer as a year round house plant.
