Description
Tigridia ‘Red Hot Tiger’ is a Mexican native, found commonly growing as a wildflower. On first appearances as the grassy-green foliage emerges, one would be forgiven for mistaking Tigrida for Crocosmisa. However, once the flower emerges, it’a different story. The stunning flowers are bright red with three petals flecked with orange-yellow and held on terminal spikes from mid-summer into autumn. Plant in fertile, moisture retentive but free draining soil in a warm sunny position.
