Hosta ‘Empress Wu’

Description

Hosta ‘Empress’ is a  fabulous Hosta with huge heart-shaped leaves in the most beautiful deep green-blue. The stiff, leathery leaves are deeply veined and provide the perfect back-drop to the large 75cm spikes of beautiful white, bell-shaped flowers which appear in July to August. ‘Empress Wu’ is an impressive variety and probably one of the biggest in the world forming huge mounds of amazing foliage.  At home in mized borders or large containers.  Requires partial-full shade in moist but well drained soil.

**Please note: In winter months your hosta will be dormant and without foliage. During Autumn months hostas develop their Autumn colours and die back. Autumn is a great time for planting them but the plant aren’t as lush as they will be in Spring.**
