Description
Impatiens niamniamensis or ‘Parrot Beak’ is bushy perennial plant, native to Central Africa with bright glossy green foliage. It has striking beak-shaped flowers, hence its common name. These are a vibrant yellow, red and orange in colour and first appear in summer and often continue well into autumn.
Impatiens niamniamensis will grow equally well in a container outside, or as a house plant in a conservatory or warm bright room. Avoid direct sunlight. If staging or planting outside during the summer months, choose a shady, well drained but moisture retentive situation and lift the plant before the weather becomes cold.
