Asplenium scolopendrium ‘Angustifolia’

Description

Asplenium scolopendrium ‘Angustifolia’ is a turbo-charged version of the much loved Asplenium scolopendrium, or Hart’s Tongue Fern, a hardy British-native fern often seen growing alongside hegderows and forest edges. This is a fabbulous fern producing long fat strap like evergreen leaves with shuttlecock-like crowns. The bright, glossy green, often waved fronds can be heart-shaped at the base. Asplenium scolopendrium ‘Angustifolia’ is a superb fern where year round effect is needed and looks good planted with other ferns as a constrast to the typical fern leaf. Can tolerate drier conditions where it grows well planted next to Polystichum setiferum. Height 45-70cm. Spread 60cm. Plant in semi/full shade, moist fertile soil.
