Amorphophallus maxwellii

Description

Amorphophallus maxwellii is a wonderful native to southwestern Thailand.  From a large tuber a single, large and exotic leaf emerges with a beautifully mottled petiole.  The flower is deep purple and emits the characteristic fragrance of rotting flesh to attract pollinating flies.  Truly stunning in appearance.  Very special, very rare and creates quite the spectacle!
