Cotinus coggygria ‘Grace’

Description

Cotinus coggygria ‘Grace’ is a lovely deciduous shrub with relatively large pale purple leaves. A member of the ‘Smoke Bush’ family ‘Grace’ grows into a large often small tree like shrub and making a striking statement.  Like all  Cotinus in summer pinkish plume like flower influences are produced creating the classic smoke bush effect as they wave above the foliage at the slightest breeze. Often overlooked is the amazing autumn display of fiery red and orange colours produced by the leaves as they change before dropping.

Cotinus coggygria ‘Grace’ is a vigorous growing member of the  Cotinus family and can reach over 4 metres high. I like to prune it back hard in early Spring just before growth starts to encourage strong new growth and extra large showy leaves each season. Fully hardy.
