Cotinus coggygria ‘Royal Purple’

Description

Cotinus coggygria ‘Royal Purple’ sometimes known as ‘Smoke Bush’, is a wonderful deciduous, bushy small tree or large shrub with oval, deep purple-burgundy leaves, turning brilliant red in the autumn. Pink coloured, plume-like inflorescences, giving a smoke like effect form in late spring-summer.  Will reach around 3m height and spread and can be pruned during dormancy.  Perfectly hardy and likes a full sun to semi shaded position in fertile, free draining soil.
