Cussonia natalensis

Description

Cussonia natalensis, sometimes known as the ‘Rock Cabbage Tree’ is a stunning and fast growing South African native with beautiful silvery-green divided leaves.  Over time the bark becomes rough and cork-like.  Here in the UK, Cussonia natalensis will require winter protection from frosts and freezing so we recommend container growing in fertile soil, in a sunny to part-shaded position.  When the weather gets cooler, move indoors to a frost free glasshouse or conservatory, or a bright room.
