Description
Edgeworthia chrysantha is an unusual and beautiful Chinese shrub which produces large nodding clusters of the most fabulously fragrant yellow flowers clothed in white silky hairs during late winter – just when we all need a lift and an excuse to walk down the garden! Zesty green and exotic ovate green leaves are produced in abundance during late spring.
Edgeworthia chrysantha require free draining soil in a semi-shaded position for best results. Pruning is seldom necessary but over-crowded or mis-placed stems can be snipped out just after the flowering period.
