Description
Hydrangea arborescens ‘Strong Annabelle’ is a recently introduced hydrangea having stronger, tougher branches than the much loved ‘Annabelle’, which means that as they mature they will stand up better, holding up to the weight of each flower head, rarely flopping over when laden with the weight of the impressive blooms. The huge flower heads, often over 20cm across, of white flowers are produced during midsummer lasting well into autumn. Sometimes going by it’s Dutch name ‘Incredibell’ it is easily maintained, can be pruned without worry as each flower is produced on new growth. Hydrangea arborescens ‘Strong Annabelle’ will grow in most conditions being happy in shade and sun alike where it prefers fertile moisture retentive but not waterlogged soil.
