Description
Mahonia ‘Volcano’ is a wonderfully tactile ferny looking Mahonia with delicate deep green fern foliage topped in spring, with sprays of fragrant yellow flowers. Tolerant of shady conditions, we have planted Mahonia ‘Volcano’ amongst ferns and Japanese maples to great effect. Definitely not to be confused with Mahonia of old, ‘Volcano’ is an aristrocratic plant with beautiful soft feathery leaves and looks amazing planted in deep shade. For best results add organic compost and keep moist when planting until established. Hardy and unfussy requiring little if any pruning.
