Citrus glauca

Description

Citrus glauca, also known as the ‘desert lime’ and native to the Australian Outback.  This unusual citrus shrub or small tree works well in a pot.  Unsurprisingly it is able to cope with hot and dry conditions. It has long, slender pale green leaves and produces small green fruits, with an intense lime flavour. It thrives in a sunny position and like all citrus plants need protection from the frost, so bring into a glass house, conservatory or bright room for winter.
