Cyathea felina is an elegant fast growing tree fern having large 2 or more metre long fronds held on deep brown ‘hairy’ stems. Only hardy to around zero degrees centigrade Cyathea felina can be grown outdoors during the summer months but should be brought undercover during the winter or indeed grown in a shady conservatory or glasshouse permanently.
