Polystichum neolobatum

Description

Polystichum neolobatum with rather cool common name ‘Asian Sabre Fern’ has something to live up which I’m happy to say it does. Being one of the best hardy featherey leaved evergreen ferns around, the 60cm long fronds are a deep glossy green with a classic dissected structure. This is a charming fern, easy to grow and lush looking for most of the year best planted in fertile moisture retentive but not waterlogged soils located in dappled shade. We like it for it’s exotic looks and hardy nature. For some strange reason still a hard to find fern rarely available so one for the collectors too.
