Description
Petasites japonicus var. giganteus ‘Nishiki-buki’ is an extraordinary large leaved-perennial, loved by flower-arrangers for the unusual green-white clusters of flowers which emerge during early spring but more so by lovers of leafy exotics as following the flowers large, jungly round leaves appear which are bright green with irregular splashes of creamy-white variegation – if you like Farfugium or ligularia you’ll love these! Petasites japonicus var. giganteus make excdellent ground cover, coping in most soil types. Plant in a sunny or part shaded position in moisture retentive soil and provide a mulch during the winter months. Hardy and will reach up to 1.2m in height and spread.
