Description
Trichocereus huascha is a beautiful clump forming cacti sometimes known as ‘Red Torch Cactus’ owing to the large tubular yellow-orange-red flowers which may appear on mature plants, in the right conditions. Thick green, ribbed stems form, clothed in thin pale ‘spines’ with thicker central spines in each areole. Trichocereus huascha branches freely from the base, creating a wonderfully architectural form – like a city of cacti!
Here in the UK we recommend growing in a conservatory or on a sunny windowsil however your beautiful cacti may be placed outside in the hotter months. Plant in very gritty free draining cacti compost and water only occasionally when the plant has dried out completely. Do not allow the plant to sit in water.
Here we offer bare root plants, all of which come with a free and appropriately sized planting container. Professsional grade compost, mixed by us is also available in 2L and 4L bags.
Best of all – all our bare root plants are from stock grown by us here in Sussex.
