The Giant Pineapple Lily. With broad strap-like leaves in symmetrical rosettes Eucomis pole-evansii is impressive enough. But wait until mid-summer and a wonderful plume-like spike clothed in delicate greenish-white flowers will appear. This flowering stem grows rapidly and can attain the heady heights of 2m in just a few months. Enjoys a sunny spot and fertile free draining soils.
