Description
Sarcococca orientalis is a wonderful variety of the much-loved ‘sweet box’ with slightly larger leaves than S. confusa. During the winter, small and highly fragranced creamy-white flower appear in abundance, these are followed by small, shiny black berries. This is an excellent shade or semi-shade plant and best planted near a path edge or front/back door so that the fragrance can be enjoyed regularly. It also clips beautifully. Plant in fertile, free draining soil.
